The Painter/ Wall paperer/ Handyman reports to the Director of Housekeeping and Facilities Manager. This position is responsible for painting and wallpapering of both hotel properties (Molly Pitcher Inn & The Oyster Point Hotel). This includes but is not limited to responding in a timely manner to guest room problems and being assigned to specific projects. The Painter/ Wall paperer/ Handyman will understand the importance of working with urgency while delivering high quality results.

Responsibilities
- Must have a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service
- Complies at all times with Company standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations
- Constantly monitors all areas for signs of wear and tear.
- Prepares walls for paint
- Paints walls, paper walls and paint trim
- Responsible for maintaining and looking after all Painting supplies
- Provides support for various projects

- Must be able to repair and replace wallpaper, experience required
- Previous experience in a hotel or related field is highly desirable
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly
- Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations
- Must be effective at handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule that may include weekend availability and being on-call.

- Must have high attention to detail and value cleanliness
- Must be fluent in written and spoken English
- Authorized to work in the Unites States without Restrictions
- Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations.
- Be able to safely handle ladders, tools, and equipment
- Ability to climb stairs, bend, reach above shoulders, kneel, twist, and grip items.
- Ability to sit, stand, and/or walk frequently and for long periods of time.
- Must be able to respond to visual and auditory cues (telephone, radio)
- Ability to push and/or pull equipment weighing up to 100 lbs.
- Able to lift 50 lbs. and climb up and down ladders to minimum heights of 25 feet
- Ability to extend arms overhead to perform various technical tasks, and work in confined spaces, under varying temperature extremes.
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites
